While most of the beta and demo stuff don't affect me (kinda interested to see whats going on with future soldier). I'm extremely excited to be getting Shank 2 and Silent Hill free. I've been thinking about picking up that Silent Hill collection so that goes perfect and I liked Shank 1 but didn't feel like the 2nd was worth a buy.  And its nice that Saints Row can be shown to the world even more so they can hopefully get some more sales.

I rented Shift 2 a while back and liked it. Really excited to play it again. Great cockpit view!

It's a shame that the beat-em-up died out so harsh. Always one of my favorite genres, especially back in the arcade hayday where folks like Capcom were just wrecking it on a nonstop basis. Man, the glory days...

I was thinking about getting another three months since my sub. ran out at the beginning of the month, but I'll at least wait till May. I own Shank 2 and SH and they're both great games, but I don't want Frogger or NFS at all. I would like to try Ghost Recon, but I bet it'll be a timed PS+ exclusive and will be free to everyone the week after. Hopefully May'll have some stuff I don't already own since I do really like PS+.

I just now looked at the ps+ update having not read up on this earlier and saw shank 2 need for speed shift 2 and silent hill on there for free and even if that is an insane hodgepodge of games I got legitimately surprised/ excited? I don't remember the last time I actually said "what the fuck???" out loud

Honestly this still seems not worth the subscription. The most appealing thing of PS+ to me, so far, is the online save game storage, which can be pretty cool if you have more than one console. Which I don't. Still hoping to be impressed by this sometime though.

I got all the free stuff they released this week. You know what I'm playing out of those games right now?

I'm still not seeing what the deal is. Aren't you denied access to these "free games" after a certain time anyway? Making the money that you spent go toward... basically nothing, in time?

@xyzygy: Not really? The discounts are great too, and as long as you are subbed, you get more and more "free" stuff to play... If you buy a lot of stuff from PSN anyways, it's a good investment. You end up playing way more games for that $50 you spend.

I signed up for a year of PS+ not more than 4 days ago and have already got my monies worth. Sly Cooper HD, Battle Fantasia, Shank 2, Shift 2, SIlent hill, a bunch of old arcade classics. Could of got SF HD Remix too, but I already owned it. I always thought the idea of PS+ was dumb and never really kept up with it, but I gotta say, it's totally worth it so far. I look forward to getting more free stuff and deals in the future.

@xyzygy: Access expires when you stop subscribing but you regain access if you resubscribe. In the year or so that I've had plus I've gotten about 50 games (not counting the minis that I don't bother with downloading). It's more games than I have time to play. I've played roughly 20 of the 50 games. I finished games like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider Underworld. Those are games that I'd never go back to after finishing it so if I lost access I wouldn't be bothered. At $50 a year for 50 games it's basically iOS prices for PSN games. I don't look at renewing the subscription as paying to keep access to those old games but rather as buying a catalogue of games for the next year.

If the version of Silent Hill that's free on PSN is the PAL version, don't get it. The models for the enemies in the school level got censored in the UK. Remember the grey children from the film? They were the enemies for that enemie, but they were swapped for some sort of small fuzzy creatures with claws because MORALITY(!!!)

They were supposed to be the grey children because they represented something that happened to a certain character. The fact that they changed them for such an arbitrary reason when there was a deeper artistic reason behind that enemy being there really pisses me off, and compromises the experience somewhat.

Of course, if you're not a fussy bastard like me, the rest of the game is intact and as it should be, but with SH, I don't think it's worth compromising! At least with the first 4, but who cares about any after that anyway?

None of that stuff interests me really, I end up being so on top of things that most of the games I already own. So price discounts on new games is the thing I look for, oh and my golden PS+ badge!
