Pretty good news. Excellent that you can listen to Spotify while playing a game. I wonder will they continue doing the Music Unlimited thing of having curated playlists for certain games.

I've been hoping that some of the other music streaming services would show up on the platform. Hopefully it's not some exclusive thing and Rdio can follow them soon.

I wonder if this is the kind of thing only made possible by the high volume of console sales.

This is great. I was waiting to see who would jump first on integrating the major streaming services.

Not that specific artist, but I dropped out about a year before it went out of beta since they region locked pretty much all the stuff I was interested in. It's a shame since it was fucking amazing back in 2008-2009 during the beta.

Oh wow... This is a pretty damn good response to the lack of music support on PS4. Hopefully there can be a point where you can integrate your spotify music directly into games instead of playing over top of them.

I was so worried that they would try to monopolise the on demand music scene on the PS4. But I am stoked that Spotiy is coming to PS4! I mean Music Unlimited was fine n all but I was using it just so I could listen to music on the PS4 and canned it shortly after I started the trial.

@awesomeusername: Ah, I should have clicked the link and then I wouldn't have gotten my hopes up. Man, what a bummer. I guess I'm going to have to switch. I really enjoy Rdio but this kind of perk is a big deal for me.

Great decision to allow you to play games and listen to music at the same time. This is absolutely the right way to handle this. Good for them, and hopefully it comes to Xbox as well. Can't wait to get back to my apartment and start playing with this a bit.

The first thing that popped in my head was the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas soundtrack playing over Grand Theft Auto V.
