6 wobbuffets.

I don't much make "powerful" parties.  I make parties using Pokemon that I like.  My Platinum team is an example of that. 
 
Empelion, Machamp, Psyduck, Togetic, Luxray, and an egg. 
 
I am thinking about importing my Machamp over to my SoulSilver game in place of Lugia once I complete the main story and beat Red.
 
That would make my SoulSilver team 
 
Golum, Feraligator, Venusaur, Machamp, Pidgott, and Pikachu.

I should hatch six Mudkip eggs and name them So, i, herd, u, liek, and Mudkipz  for lulz.

I'm not very far into Silver, I just need to level up more for the 3rd gym.

5. Dratini (I played that stupid voltorb game for hours and hours to get it - Bring back slots)
6. Any pokemon that I feel i need or want to level up at the time.

Ampharos LV 33- Strength, Thunder, Thunder Shock, Thunder Punch
Red Gyarados LV 36)- Blizzard, Ice Fang, Surf, Hyper Beam
Ho-Oh LV 45- Extrasensory, Sunny Day, Fire Blast, Sacred Fire
 
I mainly use Typhlo and Ampharos but my Togepi/Togetic took out the whole Ecruteak Gym using extrasensory and when I battled Claire, I used a LV 20 Wobbuffet and got very lucky.
