I just got an e-mail from Amazon saying Pokken Tournament had it's release date altered by the publisher and that release date is Jan 2, 2017.

Now the Pokken Tournament page on Amazon still reads Dec 31, 2016 (as of this post) which is normally a placeholder for sometime in 2016. Maybe they haven't updated it yet?

Did anyone else pre-order and get this e-mail?

I haven't preordered yet, but didn't Bandai Namco announce just a few days ago ago that the game is launching in April or May or something? Seems like an error with Amazon if anything

They've already announced the game is out worldwide on 18th March, more than likely a problem with amazon.

Amazon have done this to me with other products, I wouldn't worry, it's on their end and will be sorted.

Amazon are about as reliable as "my uncle from nintendo" on this sort of thing.

Jan 2, 2017 is probably just the delivery date based on the Dec 31st 2016 placeholder. So just amazon robots not getting that its a placeholder.

Yeah, just got an e-mail from Amazon saying the "new" release date is March 18. With all the delays that happen now-a-days I didn't want to assume it was just an Amazon mistake (which it was).
