    So I ore ordered Portal 2 Cube edition of PC and since it will come out early would I be getting it early or not?

    I think it's just the Steam version. And even then, I don't think it will even release early.

    I actually asked a guy at Gamestop this and he was kinda evasive but he seemed pretty sure it would be no.  I figure Gamestop has nothing to gain by releasing it early so I would bet that they and the other major retailers won't as well.  I guess each retailer probablly has its own individual contract so Valve probablly had this all squared away with EA (the distributor) before.  Most likely the clause was left out of the other contracts.

    You'll  get  it whenever the retailer allows you to get it, regardless of when it actually unlocks on Steam.

    Besides, it clearly only affects the digital release. Physical distributors will still need to abide the actual timeframe.

    a monday release would still be early since it comes out officially tuesday

    and it only comes out on retail in europe on thursday

    I could get you one and ship it I suppose? I mean, you would have to pay $88 which for you would be expensive since games are usually 60 in the US but the cube IS awesome and I'm sure it will be worth a good amount some day. :)
