I hope Jan finishes this game, anyone who's finished chapter 1 can tell you how exciting things get by the end of it and the momentum carries through the entire rest of the game imo.

I feel like this was 4 Kingdom Hearts lovers who gush about how Kingdom Hearts FF7 Remake is and how much they loved the game. A dissenting opinion or at least someone who doesn't love Kingdom Hearts would of been a nice juxtaposition.

As a non-Kingdom Hearts fan I found the Dementors inclusion horrible. If this was maybe called FF7 - Restructured or something that wasn't Remake I would of been more open knowing, OK, this is a brand new story, but the marketing and title were horrendous for this game.

Yeah, no offense but I am super not interested in hearing a bunch of people go "Oh man it's so crazy what are the lore implications???". Everything about the ending to Remake has nothing to do with the themes of the original game or even anything leading up to it in the remake, and is the exact opposite of what I enjoy about the original game.

Brad is 100% wrong about the combat you hit the button to do attacks. Holding the button does a specific spinning attack that's good for hitting a group of enemies, which is why he does that one spin over and over and over again in this footage. This is in like the first tutorial prompt.

Am I imagining things, or did the facial animation in the real-time cutscenes match the audio language? If so, that's a neat touch and I wonder if that's something that can be done automatically nowadays, or if they have to record mouth movement when recording the voice-over. The pre-rendered animations clearly didn't match the spoken English.

The localization team has said in interviews the lower fidelity voiced cutscenes (almost all cutscenes including the super cinematic ones are in-engine fyi) use software to automatically do lip sync. They apparently tweaked it some to get it to work better in English.

Love these games but I'm 100% with Abby on the way Mia's portrayed. April May serves a point because she's supposed to be actively trying to sway men onto her side, but there's no reason Mia needs to be busting out of her top like that. (Especially given the whole medium stuff later)

Thankfully it's not a constant thing with the women in Ace Attorney, at least as far as I can remember.

GOHAAAANKS!

My respect for Dragon Ball as a franchise hit rock bottom a while back, but if Gohanks is a real thing and not just for this game it might just loop right back around.

There's a whole game dedicated to what-if fusions on the 3DS with a bunch of ridiculous characters in it. There's a fusion of Freeza and Cooler named Fooler but they changed it to Coolieza in English because the localizers are cowards

Gotta be honest, some of the hand to hand combat looks neat especially your own dial-a-combo... but this game hasn't looked fun once.

Goofy, neat, novel, a bit funny, it has character, sure. Great animations. However, they seem to have been fighting the controls the entire time, and not just the stomps not working. Mostly it looks less challenging and more punishing, in a bad way.

This is coming from a "let me climb the DMC difficulties" type stylish action player: I'm glad it's them playing this and not me.

Imagine trying to get good at DMC playing a couple hours every other week. Ben's done a decent job learning the game but this isn't representative of actually playing the game at all. They never really got good at canceling out of stuff or using the front dodge, they never figured out how to do the heel drop, the shoryu or the air launcher because they didn't bother to read the manual, they don't really use the radar, they don't know how to selectively aggro with taunts, they constantly use the worst roulette moves because they forgot what they do and don't just look at their description in the menu.

I've been enjoying this series and I'm not sitting here getting mad that they aren't playing "properly", but as a God Hand devotee I don't think anyone should look at this gameplay as a representation of how this game plays.
