Super good and interesting video even for some one who doesn't know a lot about coding! Hope to see more of this style of content in the future with other games!
@unastrike I am pretty sure that you can fix the ending! Here are some vague tips: I'm assuming that you started on the lord of hollows quest line where you get free levels from the dude with the shell? ways to avoid that ending is either to kill the npc's connected to that quest. The fire keeper can cure the dark sigil in late game which should allow you to link the fire in the end.
A bit of background music would go a long way during the text parts. Or maybe some environmental sounds. Maybe there was some off that but the audio mix for the game was low in the video?
correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the Xbox 360 elite an upgraded version of the original 360? Or do you get the feeling that playstation and Xbox .5 versions of current gen is gonna be something completely different?
This! A thousand times this. Jeff's opinion always seems to carry the most weight, and he tends to force things to happen in general even if it goes against the general consensus. Doesn't seem to ring true with the rest of the group.
Didn't find this years goty podcast as enjoyable to listen to as years past. Part of this was due to Jeff's attitude when it was made apparent that some people placed certain games above Mario Maker. And I fucking love Mario Maker, but it almost felt brute forced to the top by Jeff. Kind of like he'd already decided that it was number 1 before the deliberations began and nothing was going to change that.
I'll try to explain how I see this. Jeff and Dans feelings towards mario maker did carry the most weight this year, not because Jeff is the boss or that anything was predecided. But because no one else had a game like mario maker to put up against it. Yes most of the crew put other games above Mario but no one burned for somthing as much as Jeff and Dan (except for maybe Austin with invis.inc).
This list is not about voting, it's not even about what games are best on paper. It's about who have the strongest feelings about somthing and I don't think any one can debate that this year the feelings towards Mario maker was by far the strongest.
P.S I havn't played mario maker or any other mario game ever. But for me it would be weird if any other game was in the number 1 spot on thier list this year.
P.P.S there are way to many salty people here with no respect for others opinions.
@shrekeh: This isn't a plug, this is a joke. The plug was during upf when Steve Gaynor was there actually plugging the game. And that is completely fine in my oppinon, they let him plug his game for a couple of minutes and then spend the rest of the time joking and having a good time.
