After like a week of stable online connections and well functioning pvp something has gotten fucked up. So people have reported on animations breaking completely on players and bosses from time to time. It has also been happening to me a couple of times since realese.

When I launched the game yesterday to do some dueling every thing seemed normal. But the first phantom I summoned had the broken animation mentioned above, you guys that have encountered this before know that it's virtually impossible to fight someone with this bug so I decided to bail on the fight. next phantom same thing, and the one after that, and the one after that. I have relaunched the game , restarted the computer but every time I summon a phantom it's the same thing they are just broken without animation.

Have anyone heard of or experienced this them self? any tips on how I might be able to fix this?

@shindig: @ezekiel:Every one that finished the game is the chosen undead. Dark souls is just big cluster fuck of multiverse theory and relativity. Anything that can happen will happen. So just because you killed Solaire in your game doesn't mean that he in another dimension didn't go insane and managed to link the fire and what not. for me what's more interesting to discuss in the Dark Souls "multiverse"(?) is the things that overlap everything, the kingdoms, the gods, and the ancient legends that some how survive through out history.

But at the end of the day it's just a good game that I enjoy playing :)

@frostyryan: Did you marry Anri of Astora? I think that is one of the major parts of getting that ending.

@sterling: yeah the lack of variety in ng+ was kind of a bummer, I missed a lot of story and npc's on my first playthrough so I still got a lot out of ng+. I did a new character as well because I wanted to try out a sorcerer managed to finish the game again in 9 hours with a couple of summons. This game has it's claws in me like no other souls game have and I think I'll be spending a lot more time in the pvp. It isn't a perfect game, the lack of incentives to replay is one of the bigger knocks on it and I'm still fighting the camera from time to time.

Side note: 3 playthroughs and I still haven't found the fucking pyromancer. Haven't gone out of my way to find him/her so that may explain it.

@darkwingduck: Geography in the dark souls universe is weird because of inter dimensional relations + the time span off 1000's of years. I have seen people describing the game as taking place in the epicentre of the linking of fire and everything is drawn towards the centre and that counts people but maybe even geographical locations from alternating universes? I don't know, not very well informed on this kinda stuff.

@plasmaduck:This is the last game in the souls series after all (presumably). So your longing for something new and original might come to life in whatever From comes up with after this.

@sunbrozak: If I was doing the dlc for this game I would take a lot of inspiration from ds2's scholar of the first sin. I have high hopes that they mix it up and encourage people to play the entire game again with the dlc.

@hark: bum rush the caster, get backstabs, don't let them drink estus, when the caster is down it's quite easy :)

I agree with the rest of the folks here that the last boss was underwhelming but to be fair ds1 and ds2's final bosses weren't great either. best part of the gwyn fight in 1 is the music imo.

I enjoy speeding through these games after the first playthrough, finding exploits and getting back at the game for being hard the first time around.

I feel okay about how my dude turned out, the skin tone is a bit to shiny but I have some cool helmets anyway so who cares.

@jakob187: Cool that you figured it out!

I managed to get the ancient wyvern in a spot where he just kept breathing fire in a straight line with his neck exposed, so I just stabbed him in the neck until he was dead. But in general fighting dragons in any game where you are a small person doesn't feel great, you want it to be this cool fantasy battle with a huge monster but it often becomes underwhelming. Dark souls have had its fair share of bad dragon bosses especially in 2, I liked the fight against Kalameet in ds1 though. So bravo to game devs that get boss fights right I guess.
