Spec Ops: The Line has a few different endings and they're all pretty good, but especially "Welcome to Dubai". The entirety of act 3 is the strongest by far. I recommend playing the game on easy, since it's definitely mediocre.

The Great White Shark. They've already conquered the ocean. Dry land is their only remaining frontier. Carcharodon Sapiens will rule the world.

@aceofspudz: Devil's advocate. If we remove SWAT teams, how will we deal with the things police aren't properly equipped for?

I'm not against police having rifles, shotguns, and body armor in the trunks of their vehicles, or being trained in their use in the event they meet a similarly armed adversary. Let's be honest--this almost never happens. An urban warfare unit with a 'breach and clear' mentality isn't necessary or wise. It's thuggish behavior and they've demonstrated that again and again. If you all want to learn more about the infuriating history of the misbehavior of SWAT teams (really, it will make you angry) I could recommend this book.

The police should not be militarized. This is a foundational concept of our nation and 'swatting' is just one of those little warnings we are receiving about what a bad idea it is.

People will always be shits to other people. That can't be stopped.

The real problem is the existence of SWAT teams. They are paramilitary units designed to be used against ordinary citizens and--surprise!--that's exactly how they are used. As long as SWAT teams exist, you are in danger of having your door kicked in without warning and your home invaded by heavily armed gunmen on the thinnest of pretexts. You may or may not live through this, but your dog certainly won't.

I think part of it is that people don't like change. For several years, it was the same, core GB crew, with occasional guest appearances from the Tested guys, or whoever. But then suddenly Patrick appeared, and changed things in ways they didn't like.

And, to be frank, the quality of Patrick's work has increased over time, I'd say his stuff now is a lot better than it was back then.

Right on the nose. Change can be scary and people often prefer what they love to stay the same. Today Patrick is a trusted member of the core GB crew, and I wouldn't have this site without his content and flair.

This canard keeps popping up. It's wrong in two different ways.

Firstly, if there was a natural dislike for new things people would not be clambering for them to hire Danny O'Dwyer away from Gamespot. The reason for this is because most people recognize that he fits in well with the crew. Patrick doesn't.

Patrick is not a core member. There is a huge, palpable gulf between his attitude and the rest of them and it's always apparent whenever they get together in the same room. He's not Giantbomb material, and he never was, and he never will be.

I'm not saying he's a bad journalist, or a bad guy, or that I hate him. I'm saying he doesn't fit in with the crew, and I have to speculate that part of the reason he left for Chicago was him recognizing this and realizing a need to make his own path.

I've edited this. My text is bold.

"Jason told me he’s a big fan of thatgamecompany’s Journey, and Threes co-creator Asher Vollmer once worked at that studio. His respect for Asher's work was so great that he considered breaking into his house and stealing his VCR, but in view of the logistics and the declining popularity of VCRs he decided that he could only feasibly steal his intellectual property. That’s how he found Threes, and became entranced by it. 1024, he told me, was created for his fiancée, who due to a rare genetic disorder was unable to simply download and play the real Threes!, and he only later decided to publish it to the App Store and Google Play after a period of such extended deliberation that his clone was literally the first one available.

For legal reasons, he does not consider 1024 a clone."

Grado Prestige SR80i are exactly $100 on amazon. I use them on my laptop and they're great. Needed a usb headphone amp, but my laptop is more of a business machine and I had no problem driving them with an iPhone.

I hate to break it to people, but the rift could never come to market without being bought. they did not have the resources to set up the manufacturing deals needed to do so. if it was not Facebook, it would have been Google or Microsoft. there would be the same QQing there is now.

Do you have a single fact to back that up?

How the fact that it cost Microsoft and Sony around a billion each using off the shelve hardware to build their systems. they would need at least 50 to 100 million to get manufacturing up to the scale need to release a consumer product at the price they wanted.

So you're suggesting that it would take over a billion dollars to bring the rift to market because it cost that much for another company developing a completely different product, for a completely different market, with a completely different set of goals.

I guess I better tell the people at TrackIR that they should just give up because, see, it's impossible for them to ever bring a consumer electronics product to market for a niche audience without being bought. By a software company.

I hate to break it to you, but you have no idea what you're talking about.
