I'll wait one more year for the PC port. if it isn't out in one year, i'll buy it from the PS store
I think this is a game that plays better on a nice tv that a smaller pc monitor. Good news, but I think Ill buy a prepaid card instead of paying with my credit card ;)

yeah, i can see where you are coming from. Installing mods for eg oblivion can be a real pain. But HL2 mods? easy dude. Most come with an installer, so you dont need to do anything. If its a zip or rar, just unpack it in the sourcemod folder in youre steam folder. I can help you if you have problems, add me on steam (search for AciD|MisT). Not that im THE pro know it all, but i think mods can be great. Go to moddb.com and have a look, im sure you will find one that interests you. Online ones (like firearms) have great communities that help you to get to know the game, how to play (lots of a-holes, but you can find them anywhere ;)
The modscene is a real plus for pc gamers, it can give a game extra lifespan.
So enlight us: what mods are coming out soon/ not so soon that you are waiting for.
My favorite is Firearms: Source
As the name hints: its a HL2 mod, but one with a firm history. Firearms was a rather popular mod for HL.
You can compare it with CS, kinda. two teams shoot each other (end of comparison). Each map has different objectives (destroy crates in the base of the enemy, capture points). What made it stand out, imo, was the size/ quality of some maps (sd_durandal anybody), the fastpacedness (?) and the fact that you respawned instantly (with a 'pool' of lives like attackers have in rush mode in Bad Company 2). Loads of guns (some weird ones like the bizon). Aah memories. But its coming out in july (so in a couple of days) after 4 (im not sure) long years.
one thing: free games not free if subscription is cancelled.
If the stuff would remain free to use, it would make sense imo. And early demo/ beta? Cmon, im not paying to get to know a game. Weirdest idea ever. I would pay for something worth it, but this is not it.
