Look, FFXVI looks really neat, but I really need to know what the hell that game is. What was even happening in the kaiju battles? I did not like the combat of either FFXV or SOPFFO, so maybe it just won’t be for me.

Last Wednesday after the previous episode aired, I went out to get groceries and got stuck behind a car with a custom license plate of “2XWHOOP”. There were at least four Hatchet Man stickers on the back. Coincidence? I think not, thanks to BIG ALBUMMER with their finger on the button!
Minus the points of comparison to BotW (which I’ve not played and probably won’t, for no specific reason), I feel exactly the way Tam does on soulslikes not made by From and on games in general after playing Elden Ring. Citizen Sleeper is the first thing I’ve played that’s roused me from my Elden Ring-induced drunken haze, and my motivation to dive into new games hasn’t been this low in years.

Orange isn’t real, at least in the English language. It wasn’t used until the 1500s. Before that, everything was just called yellow-red or yellow-saffron (which is why a bunch of orange things are called red, like robins), and the fruit was called a “Chinese apple”. Obviously BIG CRAYON is behind all of this.
On games getting ruined by esportsification, I think the other mid-2010s Blizzard joint, Heroes of the Storm, was way more disappointing. I overcame my bad memories of DOTA/League because the weird heroes like Abathur, Murky, and The Lost Vikings were super compelling to me. I had a really good time with it that diminished as the years went on and they rebalanced it to better fit an esports model (by having no new heroes that would risk competitive imbalance). It’d be nice if they somehow get a sequel post-acquisition but I highly doubt people would care enough to make it worth it.
