Excellent article. It never ceases to amaze me how some people go into such a rage over a review score. These people never actually read the articles, just the number at the end. Your point about confirmation bias is spot on, these people aren't reading review scores for any other reason than to confirm their own hopes for the game. Simon Parkin's review was a great read.
An 8 is a good score anyway. I don't own a PS3, but after reading the reviews and watching gameplay footage, I am sure that I would love Uncharted 3. We have to try an ignore these loud children and their wailings.
