I can understand microtansactions all going to loot boxes, clearly publishes have enough data that people are willing to pay for them, I can tolerate them. But why the hell are we all of a sudden making natural progression in the game also have to be a shitty lootbox system? I was one of those crazy people who liked The Crew, and one of my favorite things about it was seeking out activities that would give me the upgrades I wanted. Now in order to progress you literally just grinding any activity, removing the need to explore the full game, and at the end you still possibly wont end up getting the stuff that you want. Gambling with money is tolerable if it is optional, but making gambling my time an essential part of the games design is a fucking deal breaker.

This reminds me more of Witcher 3 than Destiny. I can get behind that as a new direction for the series. Looks great, will definitely pick it up once I finish Mario whether there is a price drop or not.

Stick of Truth was the first time I noticed that I had really grown out of the South Park style of humor, but the game was still incredibly well made, and I enjoyed it immensely. It wasn't any different than your standard JRPG that has most of it's humor fall flat on it's face. Definitely going to pick this game up. The nostalgia, design style, and mechanics are what get me excited, and I'm fine with overlooking some of the less witty humor in order to enjoy it.

I think he's playing to the best of his abilities (which include wanting to keep himself alive), but also isn't afraid to lean into the heelish comments in his summation. To hilarious results.

He refused to use a shotgun and run and gun despite it being the best ability the squad has, and chose to not take care of the flanking alien to take out the alien he said was closer to him, which ended in alex's death.

He both played terribly because of both bad play in general and his dumb wrestling persona.

Shotgun + run and gun is not a good ability this early in the game. He has no health, all the aliens come in groups of 3, and all the aliens can be taken out in a single rifle round anyways. Assault is much stronger with a rifle at this point in the game. If they hadn't taken his rifle in this episode they would have easily been able to win because Dan could have actually hit some of those mid ranged shots.

It's also a good strategy to not send your highest rank soldier out as the front line because their utility can help you as situations arise even from the rear. Dan tried to play smart, but his play is obviously not that great, nor is anybody in this series. If you want to say that Dan intentionally fucked over his teammates last episode, you have to admit that they pretty much gave his character the death sentence by sticking him with a useless shotgun this episode.

Does anybody actually like the palicoes in these games? They were always the main thing that annoyed me. I love the gameplay loop, and most of the characters, but then there are the 3 different palico NPC's in every town that you have to talk to that have to throw a damn cat pun in EVERY SINGLE line of dialogue that you just roll your eyes at harder every time it happens. Plus they are attached to every superfluous mechanic that you will never use, but you feel like you should in case you are missing out on some cool content, but you can't bring yourself to engage with because of the stupid fucking cat puns. Fuck palicos!
