People can turn off forum topics "such as blogs" through preferences, so you should be good. If you get comments you don't like, then I would think about keeping it off the forums.

I would like to see Tropical Thunder, seems right up my alley for a fun flick. I'll see Star Trek soon. I meant to see it last weekend and this weekend... whoops. 

As for politics, I'm more worried about my local government at this time. I like Obama "voted for him" and I wish him well... he's got a big job on his hands.
