I guess I have been lucky with my local gamestop. The few times I have pre-orded, they have gotten the game for me, and even a few times, let me buy the game 1 day before the release date.
Yes, they tend to ask too many questions, but I guess it has a lot to do with how you ask, and how good you are at saying no fast enough.

If you don't like their trade in deals, go local, use other websites, facebook groups etc, works great for me in my 1 horse town, will probably work wonders in big cities.

PC version, I won't be buying a Xbox one.

I remember right before the release of the Witcher 2, the developers talked about how this game has 15 "different" endings, and that the person who were able to achieve that first, and prove it, would get a t-shirt signed by the developers.

Does anyone know if anyone got a t-shirt? :P

Streamlined, not dumbed down. I liked this game, and I am sad that it didn´t sell enough to make a sequel.

I feel you man, I had a really long break from RPG from high school to University.
However, it seems that just after a couple of months, I went from having no games, to being GM to 3 different groups.
After awhile, I couldn't handle all the pressure so I had to have more time between all of them, and because of school work, I rarely ever have time to arrange a session.
So in one way I got lucky, but now I don't have the stamina for it :(

Have you tried Roll20? If you don't mind online tabletop playing, it could be great way to play with other people.

Shogun 2 works fine for me now, so not sure what issues you are having :P
Unlike Rome 2, it takes some time to for your units to move.
