I've only played Nethack, not Rogue, so I'm always wondering which mechanics are in this game too. Eg. in the previous episode they were asking if you can zap a wand at yourself, which you can do in Nethack by aiming with the . key. Another question I had was if you can use the nymphs to remove cursed objects.
Of course I don't expect Rogue to have all the myriad possibilities of NH, but until watching this series I always thought it was a much simpler game than it is.
With Ben's English accent, it's like Abby never left.
I have to say that one of the things I really dislike about the Assassin's Creed games is how they have to shoehorn everyone from the era you might ever have heard about into the story.
Here's hoping for an extended feature-length Vinny quick look of the new big, buggy, open-world game. I think I'll sit this out until the game of the year edition is on a sale. On the upside, I might have a next-gen console by then.
As a sidenote on Jeff's comment about how corny the music is, the original Cyberpunk 2020 pen and paper rulebook had jokes about how terrible the fake song lyrics included for flavor were, so it sounds like the new game is faithful to the source material at least in that regards.
Another thing I'm kinda wondering about, is if the game missed the boat on the whole cyberpunk revival. Obviously many people are hyped for the game, but it seems to me the whole "neon and vaporwave" aesthetic is played out, and we're waiting for whatever the next big thing will be.
Is anyone else not concerned at all about the storage space on the S? I generally play one game at a time until I complete it. Then I delete it and move on to the next game.
I'm very much the opposite. I rarely play games straight from start to finish, and instead bounce around to whatever takes my fancy that day. Since downloads on the PS4 are so execrably slow, I instead bought an external drive large enough to fit almost all my games just so I won't have to plan ahead. The final straw came when a game I wanted to play took literally more than an hour to download, even though I have a gigabit connection.
