GOTY 2011

2011 was kind of a weird year in games. Looking back over the games I played this year, there are a lot of them that were released in years past. The top 6 on this list are all pretty great, but past that, there are not a lot of other games to chose from. The only games that qualify that didn't make this list are Assassin's Creed, Space Marine, You Don't Know Jack, and...Magic the Gathering 2011? The highs were pretty high, but it seemed like the mids just weren't there this year.

[UPDATE 3/12] Well, I apparently forgot just how awful the final boss fight is in Gears 3, so consider it demoted to 5th. YOU SHOULD FEEL LUCKY I'M NOT REMOVING IT ENTIRELY, CLIFFY!
