Art is something that provokes an emotional response in someone, and well, goddamn. I am moved.

Dabbled a bit with it on PS3, but didn't keep going since I rarely touch my PS3. Will definitely pick it up on Steam and give it another go, I liked what I played of it, tho I didn't quite understand half of what was going on.

Excellent article Austin! This same thing has bugged me since AC as well. I still think AA is the best one by far, it was just so so damn tight. After games like Witcher 3 (to an extent, a lot of locations are so very static in nature, always the same routines) and well for me GTA4 and 5 and the way those worlds feel, I have a very difficult time caring about a lot of open world cities and locations esp when they are so devoid of life. There's a lot of games where there's a lot of inhabitants but they just aren't believable (like Just Cause 2) and it breaks the immersion so much, I didn't bother interacting with them much. I keep hoping for more devs that actually put some attention into their worlds and making it a living place first, before adding a game to it, and it's few and far between.

Glad to read your ever evolving discussion on this topic Austin, and the back and forth with the members of the community. It's an interesting topic for me, tho it always feels to me to be a topic I view from an outsider's perspective. All the talks about race and colour etc... I'm a brown person, not a black, or white, or asian person. S'funny... it's always the one type of race that's mostly conveniently ignored in these topics, as if it didn't matter either... (not saying that you are doing that mind you, you are discussing your specific perspective). I do find it simultaneously fascinating and disheartening, tho I guess that's also based on my specific perspective.

This is pretty much my thought process for Uplay, for Origin, and all the other standalone publisher storefronts that aren't Steam/Gog at this point. Those two can manage to justify themselves to me, but the rest? Just jerks trying to make my life inconvenient. Turns out I can simply just ignore them and be none the worst for wear. It's not like I'm running out of games to play anytime soon.

@patrickklepek: Well, some of us have been asking =D https://www.change.org/p/sega-increase-the-number-of-pc-releases-segapcports

I'm glad we're seeing this regardless, I hope we see more. I'd really like to play the likes of Vanquished and Virtua Fighter on pc.

Good article Jeff. Agreed as well. It's really dumb when people act like mongrels instead of humans and cause harm to others, especially people who aren't out to hurt anyone to begin with. Utterly pathetic to be honest. Here's hoping for the best.

hehe, I remember just last year he was saying that the rock fall bit at the end would only be possible tool assisted, and now here we are. Was awesome seeing Cosmo run and explain this at AGDQ in 2013 and it was pretty sweet watching him hit 18:10 the other day. Amazing run, looking forward to the interview.
