Dan hates this game cause he knows this is the type of thing he would of reveled in as a child.

People watch soap opera's, wrestling, reality TV, The Avengers Movies, yet this particular silly brainless entertainment is an affront to video game art.

News flash, games more often then not have terrible writing, bad pacing, poorly thought out mechanics, and in general aren't that thought provoking. This ever building trend of academic analysis, or high art snobbery in games is hilarious.

Watching people jerk off their own ego's regarding how this game is an affront to the great artistic endeavors of Green Tunic Puzzle Dungeons and Indiana Jones 4 the game is hilarious.

David Jaffe wanted to make a game that paid homage to the the 13 yearold David Jaffe. He got off his butt and made something stupid that I probably would of adored as a 13yearold.

I bet there will be kids out there who will love the crap out of this game, and will be spending all recess talking about those Shark Boobs. Or are Diva Wrestler boobs a more pure artistic expression, only rivaled by the immense story depth of Hunting Robot Dinosaurs to make numbers go up.

Isn't this wrestling ? - Vinny

Mass Effect: Andromeda suffers from fandomitis. Just like the current influx of Super Hero media, endless sequels, endless reboots, and never ending milking of mediocrity.

People care more about attaching their identity with commercial property than experiencing interesting narratives, or being challenged by great writers. It's more valuable to be fed that slow drip of never ending sub-par fandom-heroin than having a great concise story.

If Bioware had any self-respect left, the ballsy move would of been to simply stop after ME:3, and close the book on ME. Instead we now have a second Ubisoft, setting the stage to churn out mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

Mediocre Shooter, I guess ID Software is back in the game. The shooting looks off to, feels disconnected.

I just realized something, this is Civ with the Endless Legend UI, and some cut-scenes.

This game really looks like the next step for space strategy games. All the detail, from different types of planetary bombardment, political relations, to civilization setup is really wetting my appetite. So many cool solutions from the really smart way they tackle tech-tree's, AI trading, AI alliances, even just the small feature of the AI actually moving with Austin to attack their enemies.

Followed with the amount of expansions I see on steam for Crusaders 2. This might really become the space game to play for a while.

On the other hand you have games like Masters of Orion which seam to be way more focused on visual polish then proper gameplay. Paradox really understands it's audience, while other studio's just want a nostalgia check.

@austin_walker You sold me on this, pre-ordered.

I miss good old Londo. Archers in DS3 were just sad, slow rate of fire and slow arrows. Paired with the forgiving roll I barely linked an eye. DS3 was so easy, I'm glad the series is over before they streamlined anymore of the game.

Deep reference, idk if its good or bad that I instantly understood. Will also be applicable for the first, "Man dies after 50 hour play session in Occulus Rift, while wearing diapers.", article.

Still no software worth any of these prices. $800 with Job Simulator and Fantastic Contraption.... Ya, no thanks. Maybe in a year or two there will be games worth the price point.

Instead of learning anything from previous console launches, platform developers continuously release with tech demo's.

I swear it looks like Playstation VR paired with No Man's Sky Exclusive at launch to be the only serious contender. Doesn't matter if Playstation VR is inferior. With the Hype around No Man's Sky paired with VR Hype, Sony has the right tools. Just a matter if they execute.

Bob: Hey man my gfx card can push 3 trillion polygons, and my VR Headset has two 4k displays, running at 120fps!

Joe: Oh really! What games are you playing?

Bob: Oh that Third Person Platformer from Insominac, and that Game that sarcastically simulates office work!

Joe: Oh.. How much did that cost you again?

Bob: Like $2000.

Joe: Oh.. Hey you wanna go play Dark Souls 3 on my $350 PS4?

Bob: Ya, probably.
