Having a look at the Mass Effect page, I can see there are platforms details listed along the top, however on the right the Game Details box is virtually empty, and there are no platforms listed. This game has been in the database for ages. Hard to believe there's no data there. Where has this data gone?

Darkadia has since added a mobile version too.

@jslack What's the status on the wonky API search results? Pretty clear that a game search on the Giant Bomb website for "Tomb Raider" and an API search for "Tomb Raider" provide different results. The API search seems to have lost all relevancy.

Seems to be working again right now. Have the issues been sorted?

@frobie Some inconsistencies with the first page of search results. Setting the limit to 10 returns 11 results. In the response body "limit" is set to 12 and "number_of_page_results" is set to 11.

@frobie: Just wanted to say thanks for the quick updates and fixes. After years of inactivity with the API, this feels like Christmas.

Bit of a surprise last night when one of my users reported that my site was broken. Thankfully you had the fix posted here, but an API developer's mailing list might be a good idea. The API forum on here is pretty dead, so it's not something I check often.

Very pleased though that I don't have to make massive changes to my app to accommodate the API changes, so thanks for that. And I'm especially happy that the search method has finally been improved. Hooray for alias and special character support!

I know there are some of you on this forum using my Giant Bomb powered web app Darkadia. Just wanted to let you know that I've finally managed to release the most requested feature: support for game platforms! You can now tag and filter by all of Giant Bomb's supported platforms.

The number one complaint I receive about Darkadia has to do with users not being able to find all the games available in Giant Bomb's database. Not all of that is my fault; the search facility provided by Giant Bomb still has no support for special characters (e.g. ü, é, etc.), and there is no ranking by relevance.
