honestly Jeff is becoming more and more bitter. Nitpicking the shit out of certain games. Stick to your shitty Atari games
I am so baffled by this "Jeff is bitter" narrative. I don't know anyone who loves games, even contemporary games, more than that dude does. He just points things out that bum him out and that's bad why?
My kingdom for a lineup of big-budget games that don't double as part-time jobs due to progression systems and map icon creep.
I miss the Playstation 2.
This certainly seems to have its moments. I get it when it's 2 bucks on PSN like the current one is. Then I won't feel bad about dipping out early when I get overwhelmed by icons and menus.
LOOT Boxes are a cancer on the industry, I'd appreciate it if the Giant Bomb staff would more directly call developers out on their shady gambling tactics. These developers and publishers are just as bad as casinos in the way they prey on addictive tendencies in people.
Ha. Guess you haven't seen any of the recent Destiny raid, wherein Giant Bombers get excited to unlock random colors for their pants. Or the DOTA streams. Or that time Jeff bought a cache of loot boxes in Overwatch and everyone excitedly gathered around to watch him unwrap his crack rock boxes. No one here is gonna be calling anybody out until it's too late and doesn't matter anymore. (Which might already be the case.)
Anyway, congrats to the Forza team on poisoning your game. Guess you learned nothing from Forza 5. Easy hard pass on this one.
Is this fun? This doesn't look fun. (Except for the part where Vinny crashes the game with his voice changer.) Do Destiny players just slog through this game solely to get new colors and guns with which to slog through it again? Because that's what it looks like here.
Hopefully people are a little less hysterical here. When I hear a self-righteous speech like Vinnies and Alex's it just makes me want to do the opposite (although I won't).
Hysterical man hopes others are less hysterical. You really just don't get it at all if THIS is your response to people telling you to consider the words that come out of your mouth. Compassion isn't self-righteousness. Jesus christ, be a human being.
I know not everybody is into call-in shows, but I just want to chime in with my one-and-a-half cents and say I love this and hope it continues being a regular thing. Between this and Jar Time, I'm convinced this community is Jeff's muse. And Ben seems to be picking up on that too. Such a fun and laid-back listen. Thanks guys (and everyone here who called in).
I think the DMCA was perfect. Campo Santo boldly said they don't stand with horrible racists, the nuclear option is a perfect way to make that point.
It's perfect until it's a precedent for other companies doing the same thing for reasons you don't agree with, and citing this instance as the reason why it's completely legal for them to do so.
