Why on earth let Cyanide do it? They thoroughly messed up the other one and are know to be one of the most arrogant and difficult gaming companies to their fans (Blood Bowl).
This does not bode well. The Metroid Prime series was a landmark series and they really did everything right. Same goes for Super Metroid and the GBA games.
This sounds like there is going to be way to much anime story and the focus will be on action over exploration or *gasp* thinking.
I would have loved to see a real Super Metroid style game with nice updates a la Shadow Complex.
Metroid Other M simply doesn't sound like a a Metroid game at all.
