Possible Game Dev Story Follow-up

If Game Dev Story consumed you like it did me, you might be interested in this. Up front - this is NOT confirmed or leaked anywhere. This is just something I dug up while trying to figure out how to play Game Dev Story II++.     For all I know it's a typo.

Kairsoft has been porting over a lot of it's old flip-phone games to iOS, including Game Dev Story. It's usually pretty clear when they do it. The games retain their square display areas and usually are pretty static views.

However one of their more recent games doesn't fit that mold.  Yusmoke Onsen (rough trans. Steamy Hotsprings), appears to be an iPhone-ass iPhone game. Full screen, with panning and zooming and it's significantly larger file size than the port overs.

Here's a google translated screenshot of the iTunes Japan store:

And it clearly lists English as a language.

Compare that with the most recently released game:

Here's a video of the game in action:

If this is the case, I'm kinda bummed that they DIDN'T re-make that second game... which is roughly translated into "Crazy Game Dealer" where you run a video game shop.

So, you heard it hear first. Now whether you heard it here right is a different question all together.

Video: Top 3 Most Sexually Confused Pinball Tables

Pulled from my collection of photos from the Pinball World Championships, I give you the most homoerotic of the bunch:

3 - "Fairy": While this is the low hanging fruit (puns intended) of the bunch, it's still filled to the brim with phallac buildings and skin tight sea-monkey looking men (sea-men?).

2- "Big Indian": Oh, there's a little Village People taking credit for this entry, but the rock hard abs as he grasps the shaft of that arrow... and why he gotta be "big"?

1-"Lasercue": No words are necessary.

Walking around the Pinball World Championship

This past weekend was the Pinball World Championships in Pittsburgh, PA. I was a little bummed I didn't have the video in time for the best arcade question of the week a few weeks ago. First of a few videos, pardon the nausea inducing camera movement - I was trying to cover the entire facility in under 5 minutes.

The video games take a back seat to the pins in this collection, but I snagged photos and video of pretty much everything. Only downside was we couldn't get Tattoo Assassins running. More to come soon.

Say "what" again...

I hate the Giant Bomb podcast habit of saying "WHAT", in response to something that is not actually surprising... but just the opposite of what they'd imagine.

"So the new Sonic game has you picking up coins instead of rings..." "WHAT" "...and they're remaking RC Pro-AM as a first person shooter..." "WHAT".

It's seriously a last-living-brain-cell response.
