You should see the oilfield. It is BRUTAL up here for sexism. Something really does need to happen, not just in the games industry, not even just with sexism. With human behaviour in general. WHY is it we can't all just be nice to one another. Stop labelling ourselves as black, white, male, female, jewish, a bears fan, What the Fuck Ever! And just realize we are all just Human Fucking Beings. Act Like It!
Lincoln Chafee is just covering his own political ass. He is the embodiment of a soulless politician with no concrete principles or values that drive him other than his own self preservation. Chafee is scum and this futile lawsuit will accomplish nothing but cost the taxpayers even more money. This is what happens when governments invest in private companies, the public sector does not weigh risk versus reward as efficiently as the private sector because it's not their money they are gambling/investing with.
Schilling is no businessman, he's a baseball player and a gamer who just wanted to get into the business he loves after leaving the sport he loved. According to every employee account I have read, they loved working at 38 studios and ended up making a promising new IP in Amalur.
What is the lesson in all of this? Businesses need to stay OUT of Rhode Island, especially gaming companies. Go to Texas where the game industry is booming these days.
I played this game and fell in love with it almost immediately. The gameplay is mediocre, but if you just pop it on easy and blow through it for the story, its a Great game.
They kept me second guessing my characters sanity and my actions, and made it quite uncomfortable at times. But I love a game that can make me 'Feel' something.
I couldn't care any less about the thousands of AI I mowed down in Modern Warfare, but throughout this game their were quite a few scenes where I actually felt bad about what I was doing.
I say, Well Done!
Had a lot of fun with this game, and got it nice and cheap through the Summer Steam Sale!
