My 10 favorite games of 2010.
Games i've played but didn't make the list; Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 PSP, Gran Turismo 5, Mafia 2 and DJ Hero 2.
Games i haven't played yet but that might end up on this list; Enslaved, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood
I loved the first Mass Effect and played through that at least 3 or 4 times, the sequel improved on many of the lesser points of the original and introduced the player to a great cast of characters and a good story.
Although i think the story and choices you are presented with in the original are better, the overall gameplay and universe are more fleshed out and it sets up a crazy story fore the third game.
Although the singleplayer was for the most part a forgetable experience with a ridiculus plot; i kept coming back to Bad Company 2 for the multiplayer. This is the game i sunk the most time into with over 130 hours spent on the digital battlefield. It is also a game that release in March (or something) and that i'm still playing, this is largely due to Dice who keeps adding new maps and things like the Vietnam expansion that makes Bad Company 2 feel like an entirely different game.
Red Dead Redemption is probably my favorite Rockstar game EVER! The idea of a GTA game set in a western setting is already appealing to me, but Red Dead is much more then Grand Theft Horse. John Marston is a really cool guy who is put through a bunch of shit while he only wants to be free and live his life. With tons of things to do, many great characters to meet and a great story on top of that; this is one of the best games Rockstar has ever made.
I'm a huge fan of Formula 1, so when i heard Codemasters was working on a F1 game and it was actually turning out as a good game i got pretty excited.
And although the game has some minor flaws, its a great racing game and a great representation of Formula 1. Hopefully Codemasters can improve on this first game and give the F1 game license back some of the fame it lost over the years.
