Best of 2011

These are my 10 most favorite games of 2011

I'm sure some of these games would not have made the list if i played more games from 2011, but i spend most of the year playing through 2010 and even 2009 games. Likely games to be on here, but i haven't played (yet): Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 and maybe Space Marine (judging by the kick ass demo).

My 2010 game of 2011 would probably have to be either Enslaved: Odyssey To The West, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood or Starcraft 2: Wings Of Liberty. Of those three i would have to pick Starcraft 2 for sure.

List items

  • With a world as big as the one in Skyrim and all the possibilities and adventures you can enbark upon, Skyrim is easily my most favorite game of 2011!

    Also dragons!

  • After playing a couple of hours of Forza 4 i was a bit disappointed; it felt more like Forza 3.5 to me with many of the same tracks / cars and features. But i kept playing and Forza 4 just keeps introducing new features and showing off all the little tweaks Turn 10 made to an already solid Forza 3. At some point it just clicked all over and now i don't want to go back! With awesome visuals, greatly improved physics and an almost endless amount of content.

  • At first i thought Battlefield 3 would be my favorite shooter of 2011, but then i picked up Gears 3. Gears of War was the reason i bought a 360 and although i never got around to playing Gears 2, until early this year. I bought Gears of War 3 at launch and i haven't had a single bit of regret or any point critisism. A really solid campaign, and a great multiplayer shooter! Leave it to Epic to improve a feature like Horde mode, to an even better mode that sets industy standards even higher. To add something cool like Beast mode on top of that, makes it my favorite shooter of 2011.

  • Leave it to Valve to find a way to make a sequal to one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time. With great characters and voice acting, Portal 2 is a really special game. Never before has it happend that i was waiting around to hear all the dialogue recorded, instead of moving on to the next part of the game. Portal 2 added many things to keep the gameplay fresh and challenging, and i would've been just fine with another story involving GLADOS!

  • Let me say first off; there are a bunch of things wrong with L.A. Noire and i had trouble getting trough to the end. Having said that, i think its a very unique game with some great technology and atmosphere.
