Hey duders and dudettes, was watching the crazy new release wednesday show and messing around in a newer program, Sketch. Long story short, it's pretty cool for UI and vector stuff and is better at a number of specific things than Photoshop and Illustrator. So I've been trying to learn it by testing out different effects. In this instance, that iOS/Web-like 3D embossed look.

Anywho, I was messing with the GB logo and came up with this, based off of the vintage Atari-esque typeface (in one of my previous posts) and adding some of Giant Bomb's visual cues.

I seem to remember buzz_clik messing with the logo for fun a while back and now I can't find the post... ha so for all I know I'm subconsciously doing a similar sans-serif, abstract thing... But hey, experimenting with this logotype is fun! Especially when trying to look professional/minimal, because GB's logo is so cartoony/fun (especially the bomb).

Anyways, design-food for thought... or fun! Would love to hear what people think about this experiment.
