It's a SNES game, could be Japanese only since I never played an English version.
It's a fantasy theme top-down ARPG, the perspective was similar to Zelda. The main character is a swordsman with red armor, who starts out with a charge spinning attack.As the game progress, you get access to various swords. You can switch sword on the fly, which changes your armor color and give you a different charge attack. The only one I can remember is the yellow armor give you a jump charge attack where your character jump out of the screen, land on an enemy, then jump back to your original position.
Another thing you can switch is a helper character, which basically give you a spell. The only one I can remember is a fairy that restores your hp. You can only cast this spell a limited numbers of time every stage.
