@notnert427: Hmmm, not quite. The graphics were pretty close but the game I'm thinking of was almost entirely on a dirt track in the desert with dune buggys. Thanks for answering though!
This one should be pretty easy but I can't remember it obviously. It would've been around in the late 80s early 90s. It was a single player racing game where you could shoot at the other vehicles. The only weapon was a single fire shot and I remember the "bullets" were just orange/yellow balls that traveled in a straight line.
It was possibly an arcade only game but there may have been a console port. If there was it wasn't as Popular. The arcade game had a cabin you sat inside that was almost like a roll cage I think.
It was a lot of dessert levels and the vehicles are like dune buggies.
