I actually just did them both in seperate playthroughs... I just kept my powered up plasma cutter and rig and plowed through it on medium.  I finally was able to get the suit glitch to work, and finished the game on impossible.  The difficulty level definitely lives up to it's name... I'm not sure I could have finished without it.  Would have been too slow and frustrating.

I'm with you on the pants tent, and I don't think I'd be setting myself up for hours of torture on impossible.  I played through a couple minutes of it, definitely doable.  Just a few things though... the mil suit definitely eliminates a lot of the backtracking endemic in this sort of game, so that time saver alone is worth it.  Also, I really would like to keep the damn weapons, since I went to the trouble of upgrading them all.  So bottom line, if I'm doing something wrong, and there's a way to carry over the suit to an impossible play through, I'd love to hear about it.  If not, that's ok... it'll be gamefly's problem in a few days regardless.

OK, so I'm about to start my 3rd run of Dead Space, debating about going after the one gun or impossible difficulty achievements.  I'd love to keep the mil-spec suit for the impossible run through, but the famous glitch I've read about it doesn't seem to be working.  Basically, you're just supposed to not save after completing the game and immediately start a new one, and bam, your suit is still there.  Am I missing something?  Did EA take it out in an update?  Before anyone mentions it... I don't care that it's a glitch and "taints" the points.  I've already run through the game twice and seen everything there is to see.  I just want the damn impossible difficulty achievement without ripping my hair out.

Fantastic game, but I blew through it in the first run through in two days.  Granted, it was because I loved it and wanted to see more, but be aware that it's not a super long game.

61" Samsung DLP.  Nobody makes them anymore, but it's clear as a goddamn crystal, and costs half as much as LCD.

Agreed with all of the above... what about the possibility that it'll be like a L4D.5 or something like that?  By which I mean a standalone add-on, something of that nature.  Current L4D players pony up $30 or so for new content, new users get both for the usual $60?  If that's the case, they can start counting my money right now.

So, will someone explain to me exactly why pissing off your fanbase is a good thing?  On purpose, no less?  What about the possibility that this will be either for-pay DLC, or can be purchased either standalone or with L4D together as a combo?  Since a game a carefully tuned as L4D can't just release a map pack because they're linked, and have to be play-tested to death to make sure they work cooperatively.  That seems to be the hard part... they've been working with Source for years, so why not just do graphical tweaks until it's ready to go out the door?  They're using a lot of the same assets anyway.   Besides... plenty of Dawn and Day of the Dead took place in the day time.  As a matter of fact, Day was set near Miami.  There are definitely some rough edges, I just don't see the sense of fucking with your own loyal customers.
