@planetfunksquad: It does effect me because I am generally a fan of the Beastcast. I was referring to people who aren't fans of something becoming offended when they have no reason to be invested. I wasn't offended by what they said, merely confused as I don't condider it a problem. Also, my comment was a response, and one that offered a solution to the topic, hardly comparable to simply stating that i was offended by something whilst having no reason to be.

@magmamud: Fair enough, I guess I just don't know what's to be gleaned from one's piece on this matter. As far as kids go, shouldn't that be the parent’s responsibility to author the content the child consumes? I didn't think PDP's videos were very child friendly. I would imagine parents would want to know what their young child is watching. I think it's harmless for older children adults with reasoning abilities. I think it comes down to a game of pass the responsibility between parents, YoutTube and the YouTuber when it comes to content that is suitable for kids.

@magmamud: Correct but the latter will have no effect on your life unless you choose to let it, unlike the former. As vile as some may perceive his jokes to have been, I believe that they are ultimately completely harmless.

@boogey131: Fair enough, thankyou for your reasonable response. I just don't think it is productive to dwell on inevitably divisive things like offensive jokes.

@milkman: I don't like PDP and I'm not defending him. I simply don't see what is productive or interesting about declaring his actions offensive or spending time derriding his actions. There will always be people like him and situations like this will continue to occur. There are legitamately bad people in the world who can affect change in a negative way that affects everyone and should be more worthy of critisism than a comedy YouTuber.

@milkman: I'm not talking about Disney, obviously they can do whatever they want. I'm talking about people who aren't affected by this being offended. Try listening a little better before firing off your pre-recorded response.

Do people honestly get offended by Youtubers making jokes? Grow a spine. This is getting really pathetic. If you don't like someone’s jokes, leave them be and don't consume their content. That's the adult thing to do. That's what I have done when I haven't enjoyed someone’s personality. Who cares if a damn YouTuber apologises or not? It's like people make being offended their business. It just seems so absurd, especially from grown adults. The only people who I could imaging caring are people who actively consume the YouTuber’s content and people who feel the self-righteous need to let everyone know where they stand morally, despite it not affecting them at all, as if they need some feeling of validation for having their opinions affirmed. These social justice segments really drag the mood of the podcast down, especially as they feel like one sided monologues.

I think the giant bomb crew would really benefit from hiring someone with opposing political beliefs. Even if politics isn't brought up often, it might help bring some much needed perspective to such matters as unironically linking Palmer Luckey to white supremacy.

Nidhogg 2 has some of the worst character designs I have ever seen.
