Seeing a .gif of this alone was enough to sell me on it, and buy it I did. I was a little concerned to see there were only 14 missions but I figured they'd be pretty long and varied. WRONG.

The missions are snacks that never leave you feeling full. The guy has built this really stylistic game with this awesome art and competent space combat, but then he thought it best to spoon feed you it like you were a baby who couldn't handle a full meal.

2.4 hours. That's how long it took me to get to the three-paragraphs-of-text ending.

Sure you can replay the missions on a harder difficulty, and I might end up doing that and changing my feelings on the game, but right now all I feel is disappointment over what could have been. The Early Access information suggests the game is feature complete, apart from a wave-clear mode that hasn't been implemented yet. Maybe that's what this thing is missing, maybe the inclusion of that will make me feel less as though I was bamboozled by STYLE.

Damn style, you got me good this time.

Speaking of style as I have been so prone to do in this post, here's a recently released game you guys should check out which I feel more than warrants the asking price: Brigador.

Looks like a game made for people who feel content with their lives. Definitely not for me.

Hasn't Dan mentioned hearing things on Steve Austin's podcast a few times? Yet here he says he doesn't listen to podcasts...

I'm feeling a distinct lack of willingness to embrace the future of entertainment as we know it. You've gotta approach it with an open heart or its impact on you won't feel quite as profound. Like Brad so kindly reminded us, VR space is a PLUR space where negative energy only serves to detract from the conscious coupling of mind and technology, ultimately hindering transcendence.

~~ Good vibes, come on repeat after me now, good vibes ~~

@dr34dn0ught: Did your school teach you about World War 1? Everything I know about it has come from learning on my own outside of school because I never chose history as a subject. WW2 was briefly touched upon but it definitely wasn't in-depth or anything. This was school in the UK, not America.

Even if they did learn about the Wars I think it's common to forget a lot of the things you learned at school but don't have any real interest in, I know I have forgotten a whole lot.

How the hell can you guy's know so little about the First and Second World Wars ?. A period in history that cost the World close to 100 million dead and shaped the decades that followed. What on earth does the American education system teach ?.

Do you want them to know more about the World Wars?

Should have been called George's Bratwurst Tumble so as to avoid the confusion that is running rampant among gamers and the gaming press alike.
