GOTY 2014

This year was a surprisingly decent one in my opinion. It's the first time in a few years that I haven't had a game like Fifa or NBA on my list to help fill it out (and I enjoyed this years versions of both of those games.)

Picking my top game was tough - a real struggle between South Park, Dragon Age, Forza Horizon 2 and Shadow of Mordor.

I think Dragon Age: Inquisition will ultimately be my favourite game, but I'm nowhere near finished it and can't properly judge it yet. It's made enough of an impression on me to move up the list. South Park was great - the combat was okay though got a bit repetitive I admit. The humour was pulled off so surprisingly well though that it made up for this small issue. Great game.

Games I probably would have added but haven't played enough of:

• Far Cry 4 (only played 1 hour so far)
• Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (this year looks good - haven't played since Black Ops 1)
