@colourful_hippie: You're right, this video didn't look very sharp, but increasing the resolution 1080p wouldn't actually make it look any better (and would actually end up looking worse at the same bitrate). High motion videos like this need a higher bitrate, not a higher resolution. Giant Bomb encodes their HD videos at 4000 kbps which looks great for most games, but struggles with the intense color and motion that Thumper brings. An extra bump up to 5000 or 6000 would make this look fine even at a humble 720p resolution.

I'm simultaneously disappointed that competitive video game culture creates a need for this event and excited that it seems to be going well and is getting coverage here on Giant Bomb. Keep up the good work, Sisters!

Yup, the Skullgirls soundtrack was one of the best of 2013 by far. Go do yourself a favor and listen to the Gravity Rush soundtrack while you're at it.
