I’ve seen you grow from this simple on-air producer of an in-person podcast with the old crew and stealing resources to use the CBS Test Kitchen for your and Ben’s cooking show, to being in charge of wayyyyyy too much (in true production nature, of course.) and nailing it out of the park this year.

It would be an understatement to say that you’ve been inspiring to watch, especially as someone with my own darkness that consumes me from time to time (read: all the time). I appreciate your candidness and it’s helping me recognize more of what I could do to get out of the way of my own damn self.

Here’s to another year of great content. You deserve the biggest shoutout. <>

Seeing you, Mike and Cristian take this meteoric rise with Frequent Leaker™ has been really endearing to me as a newer Game Mess Producer. Our tastes in games and justifications are often in alignment, and as my fellow FGC head, I must always endorse more advocates of the genre.

Great list this year, can’t wait to see what you do going forward into 2024!

You can’t stop us freaks from taking over the site. We Disney Adults start swarming once we catch wind of one of our kind.

I don’t know. It seems unfair to just let Dan play this game. I wonder what it would take to get both Jeff and Jess receive the Xbox and Sonic disk, like sisterhood of the traveling pants but sometimes the pants phase through the wall. Then they, too, can experience their own chapter in Sonic 06.

Holy crap Elliot Trinidad? I remember them! We were in Facebook groups YEARS ago! Imagine my surprise seeing their face after years of being off Facebook and not having any other interaction with them.

Some of the biggest takeaways from SMB2 for me is the fact that this game managed to have this unintended effect of popularizing Birdo, Mouser, and freaking Shy Guys to the point that these designs got second life through the Super Show in the 90s and further down the line in the Mario Sports/Kart Racer genre. Hell, Shy Guys are even in Yoshi’s Island!

For what needed to be a quick release to make up for the Japanese SMB2’s difficulty turned into a marketing bonanza of cool new characters for the Mario world to play with.

I truly love the fact that Dan’s prize is a Blu-ray that should have been given back to him about 2 years ago already.
