Minecraft Pocket Edition is enough fun for one, but it's even more fun if you have a few friends. Here's how.
Multi-play is not recommended. Download the latest version (0.12.1) to ensure you and your friends have the most up-to-date features. It costs $6.99 USD.
Playing Minecraft Pocket Edition locally
Playing locally means that you and your friends (up to five players) can play within the same world-but only when you're all connected to the same Wi-Fi connection. In your game settings toggle the "Local Server Multiplayer” switch on.
Minecraft Servers List
First, pick the world that you want to enter and then load that game on the person's device. This device will now be the host.
To allow your friends to join, tap "play" and choose the new world (highlighted blue) that appears at the top.
That's it; they're in! Get ready to explore, dig, create, and chase creepers-whatever that is!
Connect to Minecraft Pocket Edition gaming server
Servers are a great option if you want to play with multiple players on different Wi-Fi connections.
Servers are online worlds that players around the world have created and which have been open to all players.
Most of these servers require registration while few are open to all. To find a server, try MinecraftPocket-Servers or Minecraft Pocket Edition Servers and browse for a world that you'd like to join.
