So, I have finally achieved what I thought I would probably never do, get an S Rank here on Giant Bomb.  It won't show up until probably Sunday, but earlier this afternoon I got my last few achievements for Assassin's Creed II.  
 
I usually don't have the urge to try to get all 1000 points.  I don't have enough time in the day and even without this adventure I still don't have enough to even being to play all of the games I want to.  But, Assassin's Creed II had me hooked when I got a vast majority of them just by going through the campaign(not having to collect 500 flags this time helped a lot, too).  While only my first, this one will probably be my last for a while do the sheer amount of games coming out early this year and possibly a new chapter of my life beginning in the summer/fall.
 
Even though I have been a big part of the community since the blog days of March 2008 and moderator since Day One of the full site that July, I finally now feel like a complete member of Giant Bomb with this S Rank!
 
Anyways, thanks to all of the people in the Achievements comments who helped me out with great maps and tutorials.  I'm sorry that I don't remember all of your names right now, but you guys know who you are!

I feel awesome-r for having an S rank in Dino Dash and Fable II: Pub Games, so there!

I haven't connect any of that up to my giantbomb profile but does it make me a bad person that I would have S ranks for Avatar and CSI lol? I must say inmy defense though that, that wouldn't have happened only that my brother bought Avatar and my sister CSI to play on their Xbox and since they were already sitting there I thought why not. The only other game I can think of that I S ranked is Oblivion. I am not much of a point guy. In fact come to think of it I have Madden 06 on my profile with 0 gamer points attached, now that is slight embarrasing lol!

Huh, I was wondering what you were talking about before (or was that something else?) Anyway, congratulations!
 
I still have to get at least one platinum...

I'm just missing the feathers trophy and the Auditore cape trophy.

Let's hope they don't add new achievements with those two DLC packs coming out soon, so you can stay awesome.

I've got like two S-ranks. I would've have a couple more (Resident Evil 5 and Oblivion) but nobody seems to want having the DLC achievements counted separately.
 
I really ought to get working on those feathers though. I've got 940 points on ACII, but I've yet to sit down and get all that crap.

Feels good to have an S rank, don't it...and especially with an awesome game like AC2?  It was definitely one of my more enjoyable S ranks as well.  And yes...those Achievement Hunter maps were definitely the cat's meow.  Having those on my Droid made getting feathers a small two hour ordeal, and it was super fun!

Congratulations, I guess I'm kind of proud of my S rank for Pac-Man Championship Edition, even if it is an arcade game. Worms not quite as proud... and Dash of Destruction? Well that just doesn't count does it? :P
 
Hope this is the first of many S ranks :D Watch out for DLC though, I know it's Assassin's Creed but you never know...

Someone else would have to play my games for me to get an "S" Rank. Hell, I'm still sitting on Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie and it's supposed to be an easy 1000.

I'm stuck on 990/1000 because of the stupid Auditore cape which I can't complete because I can't go to Rome (got the cape after Rome). Maybe I'll play through the game with a second playthrough...

My only two full 1000 point S-ranks are Assassin's Creed I and II. All of those flags in the first game...I almost lost my mind. They did a way better job of making the collection stuff more meaningful in the sequel. Plus, you get a sweet hammer.

Assassin's Creed 2 has an excellent achievement structure.  You can get most by playing the game and those that you can't are often represented by you creating interesting situations so it rarely feels forced.  I feel like they got it right.  The achievements succeed in extending the life of the game for players who enjoy that sort of thing without being overwhelming or turning you into a slave to the game.

Also, I had the full thousand in Samurai Warriors 2: Empires, but because I had downloaded my profile over at a friends house, and then gotten the 1000p back at my house without redownloading my profile... So when I went online.. it asked me to redownload profile.. and bam.. lost 1500 gamerscore =x I also had played a ton of burnout =/

Must be rather annoying to know that there is DLC upcoming and that it will raise the number of points necessary to get a S-Rank. 
 
I really don't like how Giant Bomb handles DLC with their rankings.

I finished getting 1000/1000 thanks for the info someone else gave me on getting my last achievement. =P

Seriously though, congratulations. Not counting Dash for Destruction, Assassin's Creed 2 was my first legit/real S-Rank as well.

I've heard that Assassins Creed 2 is a pretty fair and easy #S Rank, far easier that the first. I don't see this as a problem, as the game really encourages you to got and collect/do everything.
 
I currently have 26 official #S Ranks, it's annoying that games like Prince of Persia/Resident Evil 5/Mass Effect get the percentage pushed forward. I would have #S ranks in all three if it wasn't for DLC. Then there's the matter of Sony dropping GB support, I have an #S Rank in Uncharted 2....
