I played 100% of Diablo III with a friend of mine. The first time was when the game launched, and we made it to around Level 50 in Act III on Nightmare. Right now we are towards the end of Act V in Reaper of Souls. Currently around Level 70, Paragon Level 15.
So yeah, we had like a 2 and a half year break, but I'm still playing Diablo right now. We're playing on PC though. :(
This might not be my number one favorite series of all time forever, but here was my introduction to Persona.
I played Persona 3 FES in September/October 2008. I played Persona 4 in December 2008. I finished my new game plus of P4 around February 2009.
That was kind of a magic period in my gaming history and together it was about 240 hours of gaming in roughly 4 months. So yeah, pretty awesome introduction.
I was hoping it would have aired this week actually. It seemed like the perfect time...until Monday came around and I realized I forgot about Gamescom.
I don't know when PAX is, but I hope it airs before they guys head out to Seattle.
I wonder if one of the factors with this involves the fact it was Kickstarted. The reason why I say this is because I first heard about Sunset while browsing Kickstarter and saw that it was advertised as one of their success stories where they can point and say "Hey, this game got funded, was released, and you can buy it on Steam right now".
I always thought Kickstarter could be a risky venture, just because when you release a game, you have to give it to a bunch of people. It's not like those people are going to buy the game after they backed it at the level where they receive a free copy of it. If you Kickstart a game, work on it for a year, and give a thousand (or ten thousand) people Steam keys, are you still going into the release cycle thinking "Man, I hope we sell X amount of copies to break even/make enough money so we can work on another game?" If they are, then it's not like they are going to get a big sales boost from the people who perhaps were most interested in your game, especially if it's some weird, experimental game and not, say, Mighty No. 9.
This doesn't look real. It feels like more of a proof of concept than what it will actually do. I'm interested to see what it will be, but being able to go to Mars, having digital weather apps and TV screens, and playing Minecraft with just the visor seems like a bit much. Plus some of that stuff while may be possible also seems like a technical nightmare. Like having the digital apps and screens appear here, having Minecraft appear in the middle of your room like that, etc.
