Video. Pokemon Go felt really big. Smartphones are the zeitgeist-iest now.

Cut Dan Ryckert some slack he's lived in rich areas like San Francisco and New York for the last few years. iPhones are more popular in those areas.

Over at The Atlantic, a fascinating study has been published that connects location data from smartphones with the layout of a heavily populated city. The findings are that the most iPhone activity is coming from wealthier areas, while Android usually dominates lower income districts.

If you look at the map of New York you can see that Manhattan is dominated by iPhones.
