I've been increasing how much I walk anyway and bought a nice pair of trainers for that recently anyway. I was getting bored of the same old routes around my area.

This game has given me a reason to go to places I wouldn't normally, or find things I didn't know were there. I'm in Glasgow and outside the Tennents factory there is a plaque to the writer of "Wee Willie Winkie". It's just a small thing, but it's telling me stuff I didn't know about my area. Or other things I have always wondered about, like the weird bull statue, or why they saved the front of a building. I could get all this if I remembered, and actively looked into it; but I don't. By gamifying this, it keeps me interested.

Also that I have a bunch of other people I know doing it helps massively, so that we compare for best, coolest, and dumbest.

I've seen a good number of other people doing it, and even had a few brief conversations where we say "pokemon?" laugh and move on to whatever point as are trying to steal.

It helps that I've not played an AR game before, and rarely use my phone for gaming at all. I tend to not have time to play while I'm out and about, but pokemon takes a few seconds every few minutes. It's not the commitment of a fully pokemon game.

In the end this is casual fun. But it's fun in the real world, using things we know about.

Also I can make it look like Slowpoke is about to get hit by a car.

I had no idea the 2048 game so many people have suggested I play, and I have enjoyed in my browser, was this 3 game that caused obsession for people on several podcasts I listen to. I can't say I'm happy everyone I know isn't crediting the original dev, and I'll do my part to fix this error.

So I bought Three for my iPhone from the original dev.

Wow.

I've been in some bad places mentally in the last few years, and much of this game could have been pulled directly from inside my head. Hell, some parts of it could have been pulled out of my head yesterday.

I'm glad this game exists. Maybe I would have got help sooner if I had played it a few years ago; seeing I'm not alone by reflecting my thoughts back at me.

Watching your creative vision became a sequel spewing factory for the last 5 years, would be depressing.

Just what is Battlefield 3: End Game?

Do we get to absorb the essence of people we kill if we behead them? Ala Highlander?

I can but hope that they decide to change it to an FPS in that you are role playing a dude on a battleship, by having to look at multiple screens, and interpret data; shooting that way.

I find the quote

If Max Payne and Max Payne 2 made shooting look like a ballet, Max Payne 3 makes shooting look like a ballet directed by Michael Bay.

Think about the horror of that idea for a second. Taking something graceful, and very coherent; and then destroying it with pointless explosions, shakeycam, and the idea that every moment has to be full of action/stuff or people will stop watching.

I find it hard to believe for example the boss fight in the water didn't raise some very basic gameplay issues. That being unless you took a specific perk ahead of time, that fight was by a wide margin the most diffcult part of the game. I ended up beating that boss in a way I'm sure the developers didn't intend.

But then how exactly do you have a boos fight that a stealthy dude and an assault spec can both take on. It's a challenge to not make it the same thing over and over.

The game was good though. I'd totally be on board for another sequel. I like the world they set up; just let me explore more of it...

I'd be happy with less world locations... if you just let me explore more of Hong Kong for example. But all the levels were awesome.

I'd love to give props specifically to the moment you crash in Hong Kong.

I was playing too stealthy and I didn't manage to save her, so I wandered into the lift and went to carry on. I'd killed a few people up to that point, but only when I really had to.

At that point I knew I could reload, but I didn't want to. I took the lift back down and killed every single person in that level. From that point on in the game, I was didn't care about killing.

It just changed the game for me. It changed how I wanted to play.

I was pissed off this had happened, and screw anyone who got in my way.

It's been a long time since I game influenced me like that mid stream.

Well done.

It  sounds like this woman likes to try out new ideas and such.

The did Nabtacular Drop.... turned that to the absolute best it could be in Portal.  Taking mechanics and ideas and making more of a game around it.
L4D is very well crafted and balanced.
Dark Void had good ideas, it just didn't pay off on other aspects.

I think an experianced game maker behind them to tighten up the nuts and bolts; and a high concept game from her could be great.
