Games I've invested most time in

There are some games you just have to play....

...and play some more....

...restart and play some more....

...create a new character and play some more....

...and.....something.....makes....you....carry....on...playing....and....playing....

List items

  • OMG. Unbelievely addictive and engrossing. I don't know why, but even my daughter has played over 100 hours on it. Say no more.

  • OK, SO it's starting to show its age, but wow. What a game. Great DLC too.

  • If ever there was a dirty, realistic, fascinating world to mess around in....

  • Racing games? I don't play those....Oh wait....I got a new projector and this just blew me away. Even though it took me weeks to learn how to drift (Hi Brad!) it was still unbelievablely addictive. And arcade machines in the garage?! Genius!

  • Being UK based I've been a fan since this series was in nappies. My wife hates it. Enough said.

  • Wow. Another ground-breaking game. Played in on the GC until my disk got scratched. Bought it on the Wii and played it again with all the extra content too. Superb.

  • Simply the best adventure game in history. I've played it through a dozen times and still love it. One game you simply have to seek out.

  • Really, I could have picked any of the Ratchet and Clank games, but this one was the most recent. Polished to the Nth degree and the best voice acting ever. Ever, you hear me?!

  • Hmmm. Some liked it, some hated it. It had some problems, but overall it was fantastic fun. Fun enough for me to spend 30+ hours on it.

  • What can you say. It was an incredibly simple game, but those orbs are seriously addictive. They certainly got the name right!

  • I played the original, years ago, and picked this up on PS3. I'd forgotten how much fun adventures were. Great writing and excellent trophy fodder.

  • LOL. I picked this up from a bargain big expecting a few hours of fun. It has to be one of the best co-op games in history. OK it has a few frame-rate issues, but put those aside and you'll never have more fun with a buddy.

  • I could pick any GH game, except VI, but I think I enjoyed this one the most. Easy to pick up and impossible to master - for me anyway!

  • 3D platforming on the PS2 at its best. Naughty Dog's heritage.

  • One of the scariest games ever. Seems pathetic to say that now, but those dogs jumping through the window and the corpse coming back to life....Oh boy.

  • Most underrated game ever, I think. Had some weird control mechanics, but again, scary as hell. Especially the completely out-of-context door banging.

  • The SNES was such a superb console for a teenager. I spent hours and hours playing this then, and even more hours playing it on Virtual Console. I love it to death.

  • Double Fine's classic adventure/plaformer. I was one of the 29 people who bought this at reatail and loved it to death. So glad the rest of you could play it on XBL.

  • Bioware's formula has hardly changed since they launched this. I loved it dearly, but come on lads - the latest games are just the same game with fancy graphics and less effort in the gameplay department. Get it sorted.

  • Oh lord, how could I almost forget this. Utterly compelling, fantastic story and the bedrock of so many of todays games it's unreal.

  • Well, there had to be one of these here didn't there. I picked this one cos I've played it through on 3 different platforms and loved it on all of them.

  • Mario Kart looks simple. In fact, it's one of the deepest games in history. Every time you play you discover a new tweak, feature or trick that makes you that hundredth of a second faster than last time. Amazing.

  • OK, I've picked the first one, but I've spent many a long hour playing these on my DS. Just Japanese enough to get away with the completely wacky story lines.

  • Simple, yet complex and more fun than you can shake a stick at. Loved it to death and played it for hours and hours and hours.

  • One of Rare's early games, before they were shuffled into the back room by Microsoft. Had some seriously bad moments, but overall was great fun - and even my wife liked playing it.
