So they never actually said how the combat works. Is it a one button thing that follows what you set up in the combat decks, or do you still have light, heavy etc?

With the amount of exasperated sighs and minor gripes coming from Paul Brown during this I cant tell if he's actually not that fussed on this or just doesnt want to be there

Watching this I found myself wishing they had either stayed with turn based combat or gone even further in the direction of direct control character action style stuff. This kinda seems like a bit of a mess where the camera constantly has problems keeping up :/

Still firmly on the fence about this.

Every time I hear someone call FFX's sphere grid complicated I immediately assume they've never actually played the game and only seen screenshots :P

Really? Less than a minute in and I already think they drastically need to tone down their DoF and motion blur. Jesus christ.

This game comes out in 2 months. There is absolutely nothing "pre-alpha" about this "tech test".

I really hate the bastardization of the term "alpha" that has happened in the gaming industry over the last generation or so.

Also I love Persona but does anyone else think character design in this game is kind of a hot mess?
