I'm a basic bitch, Charizard and Mewtwo for me!

Though I've always had a soft spot for Abra and it's evolutions as well.

Edit: Oh and late 98/early 99 was when I got into Pokémon. Basically since the beginning. I remember going on a 2 hour trip with a friend to pick up Pokémon Silver on release day. The excitement levels were very high!

Fallout 3 a few years ago when I was going through another bout of Insomnia. I think I ended up getting through the whole thing in 4 nights.

3 - 4 am is the usual time that I go to sleep, but I normally stop gaming by midnight. It then just takes my brain multiple hours to wind down.

@thepanzini: That people were really excited to play a stealth based AC again, that Avatar isn't as big a draw as some people would like to think, and that a low budget metroidvania of an IP that's been basically dead for over 2 decades isn't much of a draw to modern gamers (sadly).

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth and Prince of Persia are the only 2 things on my radar right now.

Honestly, there were too many stellar releases last year that I'm still playing catch-up with. It'd be nice if 2024 slowed down a bit.

I've found it very amusing that there's been a big advertising push here on TV over the holidays to subscribe to Prime, with it's current price and absolutely no mention of ads being introduced. I expect there will be a lot of irritated new subscribers soon.

No skin off my teeth. I avoid Amazon on principle and prefer to own the media I like. Hopefully this'll be another thing that pushes people back to physical.

No. A bad ending is a bad ending. Why would I care about some rando's misinterpretation of it?

Your paperback book comes with a list of all the other books the author has written at the start and, frequently, an excerpt from a book by a different author at the end. Those are ads.

When the size of the OS can fluctuate with post release day updates, how else would you advertise the storage space on a console?

On launch that 500GB might actually only be 450GB of usable space, but 2 years down the line it could be even less (or more, depending on optimisation).

Best year for video games? Best year for broken AAA releases, more like!

As for Alan Wake, I'm not surprised it's reviewing so well, Remedy always smashes it. I'd be really curious to see how the game sells though, releasing only digital on console and only on Epic on PC makes me think it'll be pretty underwhelming. Unfortunately, none of those platforms release figures so we can only speculate.
