Oh, Adobe Flash. You were like a family's crazy uncle; sometimes creative and brilliant, sometimes loud and embarrassing, but beloved by all, regardless.
Eh, that's not necessarily true. It's like saying "global thermonuclear war is an inevitability". Maybe, one day, hopefully hundreds if not thousands of years in the future, it'll might happen, but only after every possible diplomatic alternative has been completely exhausted.
ANYWHO, yay UPF! At first I was thinking, "Is my feed busted and showing me videos from almost a year ago?" Great to see a return in top form!
Cyberpunk 2020 was (and still is) one of my favorite TTRPGs, and in terms of aesthetics and atmosphere, CDPR *nailed* the setting. Definitely will be picking this up -- but after a patch or two.
Assassin emissaries visiting Scandanavia from Arabia. Is this "The 13th Warrior: The Video Game"? Because if so, I'm 100% on board.
I like the art direction; it seems less monochromatic than previous entries. Having enemies be uninterruptable while they're in the middle of an animation seems REALLY bad in what is ostensibly a timing-based combat system, though.
I'm always so surprised by the dichotomy of Brad being so into tech, and yet so reluctant to actually upgrade himself.
It's actually not an uncommon thing for a tech-junkie to say, "That's new gadget is so cool! HELL no I won't be getting one at launch" for a number of reasons -- maybe their tech-junkie-ness means they love an earlier-gen product for its quirks, or maybe they're frozen by the concept of "but if I buy the new thing NOW, the next New Thing(tm) will be out in a couple of weeks!"
@curufinwe: You were doing so well for a while...then you suddenly forgot the site's content doesn't revolve around your very specific preferences, and that you're not forced to watch content that you love to remind everyone you don't like.
Personally, "Where in X is Carmen San Diego" are so much up my alley than Nancy Drew was. Carmen San Diego taught my baby-self what "Tex-Mex" was, and what color "auburn" is!
@thebeardedfellow: Totally thought the same! Unfortunately, this game looks nowhere near the level of quality of Renegade Ops. And the voice acting is pretty, um, "yikes".
