Sony finished off their conference this afternoon with something no one saw coming. A game that you will be able to play with 255 other people, at the exact same time. Sound like a pretty big undertaking? Well, that's because it is.

"Massive Action Game" is being developed by Zipper Interactive and is looking to change the way online shooters are played. With 256 people being split up into 8-man squads, the action will rage across one world where only one side will eventually become victorious. What is not known is if these squads will be able to interact with one another, or if it will be instanced combat for territorial control.

Not much is known about MAG at the moment but we're guessing that much more information will be hitting the net in the next couple of days.
