This is the best 2D Mario Game, and arguably the best in the entire franchise. No other Mario game has come close to topping this one.

One of the very best Zelda games from a atmospheric standpoint. Fantastic dungeons and Clock town truly feels living. The time mechanics may be a turn off for some, but I absolutely loved it and the weirdness only made the game that more interesting to playthrough.

I unlocked everything this game had to offer. Most people would agree that it has the most balance issues of any game in the series. But in terms of single player content, I've never played another fighter with so much. I would kill for an HD remake.

Was at one time of the most enjoyable fps I've ever played. Tons of variety and near infinite replayability. I actively dislike the direction the game has headed for the past several years now, but there was a period where this was easily my favorite fps for years.

It's lacking the cutscenes of the PS2 original, but this streamlined version of the game made this very easy to pick up and play and made it optimal for subsequent playthroughs. The Female Protagonist is just icing on the cake.

My love for Advance Wars has only grown in the series long absence. And while it wasn't at the time, this is probably my favorite DS game released.

This is the 3d equivalent of Super Mario World. Top of its class.

Memorable characters, a great story, villain, and arguably the most consistently great soundtrack in any videogame.

Like Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger marks the peak of Square's existence and Japanese RPGs in general.

Never have I spent so much time replaying through a game I've already beaten. I've played through this 35-80 hour game 8 times. I've never felt so immersed in a game's world in my entire life.

Again, like Majora's Mask. Ocarina of time is oozing with personality and charm. Easily the more approachable game for those that don't care for the time mechanics of Majora's Mask.

Dark Arisen takes the few shortcomings of Dragon's Dogma and fixes most of them while adding a substantial side area with fantastic new enemies and bosses. Dragon's Dogma is top of its class in Open World Action RPG Combat and has some of the best character creation I've seen in any RPG.

Overwatch has filled the gap in my heart caused by Team Fortress 2. And I couldn't be happier.

Mass Effect 2 has tremendously better minute to minute gameplay than the original Mass Effect, without the hit and miss writing of Mass Effect 3.
Extremely consistent, and possibly the peak of Bioware's status as a game studio.

Final Fantasy V offers a refreshingly enjoyable light hearted story, but its main draw is the sheer amount of customization one has over how the games combat is played.

Saints Row 2 is THE mindless sand box game to fuck around with. Saints Row 3 and 4 are both fine, but their toned back customization was a bummer.

Paper Mario's excellent writing and battle system made this one of the best games on the N64. And unlike most games of the its generation, plays just as well as it did back then.

Paper Mario 2 improves upon the original in almost every conceivable way, and is a contender for the best game on the Gamecube.

Persona 3 boasts a better cast of characters, rich with character development when compared to its sequels, as well as a better writing across the board. Indirect party controls are less intuitive, but ultimately lead to more satisfying and rewarding combat if you make the effort to learn.

Although it doesn't shine as brightly as its sequel, Baldur's Gate offers enjoyable low stakes adventuring with the excellent (if sometimes overly complicated) AD&D ruleset. Tons of customization here.

If Soul Calibur III is the ultimate single player Soul Calibur experience, then this that for multiplayer. Easily the best fighting game I've played this generation.
