@CornBREDX: The game is totally pulling on my liking of Sin and Punishment not Yars'. Besides the look of the shield, they having nothing to do with one another it seems. Honestly Atari could of slapped any name on this game that wasn't a call back. The reference is lost on new players, and upsets those who played the original. I totally get you.

Only a few probably noticed its absence, but Yar's Revenge was de-listed last month with no explanation. Lots of xbla titles have been de-listed recently with shutdowns and license expirations. In what seems to be a possible permanent price drop the game is going for 400 msp right now. Or it could be a re-listing sale. $5 seems reasonable for what it is. I remember enjoying the Quick Look so I'm going to jump on it before its gone again just in case.

Also, does it bother anyone else that they shifted the apostrophe from the original 2600 Yars' Revenge? WHY ugh.

I have 400 msp burning a hole in my pocket, and the only other XBLA game on sale that I don't have and looks weird/fun is Zeno Clash. I'll probably go with Yar's simply for the fact it seems like Sin and Punishment. Star Successor is a blast on the Wii.

I've never started watching the Chrono Trigger ER. Is it worth the time to watch? Better or worse than the Brad/Ryan Deadly Premonition ER? Jeff/Vinny is my go to team haha. Patrick is a great news writer, but I don't know if he can make an ER interesting. I mean I know Ryan is in it too but I'm conflicted.

And I have finals as well, but procrastination is too much fun.

Mirrors Edge 2. I wont trust that its being made until I see something concrete. Its been "predicted" too many times.

I'm voting for Jill Stein. So, yeah have fun picking the lesser of two evil's everyone. I've been saying this for years and nobody listens to me. Look at a parties platform not its candidate. As no matter what they say, the Party's platform is what candidates will follow once they are in office. And my candidate seems very consistent with those clearly stated principles. Does yours?

I think everyone who consumes a lot of entertainment must run across this every once in awhile. It happens all the time with video games to alot of us too, and is a popular question topic on the Bombcast, but at least for me if I rack my brain those will usually come to me. Luckily, I'm mostly a console gamer and that helps narrow the field.

Books on the other hand are rougher. I had a really shaky plot-line in my head from a Science Fiction novel I read years ago. No character names stuck, or important objects. All I had to work with was this:

Future cyber warfare, everyone is immortal and fights for fun and something to do with their time. All while other mortal people suffer. And it was just a dude with a gun on the cover.

I'm fairly certain I read it in Junior High and I am a Junior in college currently. Over a month of trying to think up more of the plot and it wouldn't come to me. I kind of gave up on it, until I remembered I borrowed it from the Public Library. And long story short after bringing up a list of 1000 sci fi books in the library, I found the novel at #208.

So share your stories of this horrible affliction. Have any tips for others when this kind of mental block happens? Have any books or movies still annoying you with their fleeting memory? Post here, I'm curious to hear them, and maybe a fellow duder can even help! And don't be the guy who says "google it". That's great only if you know the title or director/author/actor.

P.S. The book I couldn't think of was War Surf by M.M. Buckner. My 13 year old self loved it, but can't say how it is today. I think I might just buy it so I won't ever forget it again. I almost jumped for joy when I saw the cover after years.
