"Got a 42 inch LCD Sony Bravia V Series, before I picked it up I played on a computar monitor. Want HD quality on the cheap? pick up a computar monitor and an Xbox VGA cable."
Or you could just get a monitor with HDMI input. Or you could get an HDMI > DVI cable. Audio output is the problem for some people though.
I'm bad at SFIV, and this is about the only thing I know what to do. Against characters like Zangief and Abel you might wanna back off because they'll be ready to grab you. Most other characters you can get close and either start charging a focus attack or trip them as they're getting up. You can also time a nice grab.
I use my 720p monitor most of the time. Sometimes I use my SDTV when I'm using my computer at the same time (Raiding in WoW, playing SFIV in between pulls etc). Sometimes if by some miracle nobody is using our 52" 1080p I'll use that.
Only characters I can sort of use right now are Akuma/Ryu. I like Bison's style, but his forward/back back/forward moves can be hard to pull off accurately. I like Abel too, but I'm no good with him.
"To fight Gouken you have to beat Arcade without losing, having two perfect rounds, and having three ultra finishes.
Yes, it is hard. "
I'm terrible at SF and I just did this a few minutes ago. The trick is to learn how to spam fireballs and easily pull of that characters ultra. Easiest, 1 round 99 seconds. They won't even block your fireballs. I got Akuma with Bison's Psycho Crusher and Gouken with Akuma's Hadouken. Akuma has the easiest goddamn ultra to pull off.
