The moment to moment action in Diablo III is great. The skills are fun to use and the combat hooks are incredible. It's just that almost everything else about the game is boring and homogenized.

I picked it up and I think it's a great game. BUT, I'm having a hell of a time with performance problems. I've tried literally every trick in the book and the game still runs like crap. It's bumming me out pretty bad.

AAAAAAAAHhhh! Space Marine is 10 bux. I wish I wasn't really broke right now. Yes, I'm that broke that $10 matters.

Yeah, I still can't get on to the GB server. I can get on other ones just fine.

I'm cautiously optimistic. There's definitely a Monster Hunter vibe with it which is good. Probably not a day one purchase but I'll be keeping my eye on it.

Yeah, there's really no reason to get bent out of shape about whatever the fuck micro transactions will end up being.

This dev blog states multiple times that there are not going to be any unfair advantages for people who use the store. They even do a block quote to drive the point home:
