CJ for me personally, but Tommy was great as well.  The problem with Niko was that he was inconsistently written.  In a way, GTA IV tried to make him more human than any other GTA character.  However, due to the fact that this is a gta game, it still needs missions where you go out an kill people.  So everytime you'd go kill person x, it diluted the supposed human aspect of Niko.  I loved GTA IV, but Niko didn't hold a candle to CJ.

Both systems have great titles available.  I own a 360 and it has suited me better.  If you aren't concerned with blu ray, I think the price would be a good selling point for you.  However, you might want to buy based on what your friends own as well.  If your pals are all playing COD4 on Xbox live, I'd go with the 360.  Think of your needs and that will help you make the right decision.

To be honest, the announcement of the two old Banjo games coming to xbla excites me much more than the new game.  I hope that the new game will be great, but I unfortunately have relatively low expectations.  I don't think I care if the platformer is "reinvented," but I would love another round of traditional games.  I don't know about anyone else, but I thought new super mario bros was one of the best experiences on the DS.  Furthermore, I think that Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros 3 are two of the best games on virtual console.  I hope the kirby remake for DS is decent and I'm still holding out for some 2D mario action this Christmas.  Unfortunately the Nintendo Press conference has informed me to not hold my breath.

I've always heard this title thrown around in discussions on various podcasts, but I usually brushed it off purely due to the name.  It just didn't sound like something I was interested in.  The other night, I made an impulse buy on xbla and picked it up.  It is incredibly addictive for what is essentially bejewled.  If this one has passed you by, I would recommend going back and giving it a try.  It's only 800 microsoft points and I am currently considering picking it up on Nintendo DS.
